63rd Annual Western History Association Conference

Jason Heppler

This week is the Western History Association’s annual meeting. We’re gathering in Los Angeles and this year should be a terrific time. On deck for me this week, in between panels, meetings, networking, drinks and meals, and rest:

  1. Thursday is my busiest day. At 10:15am, I’m helping host the digital history lightning round that we sponsor every year. I’m eager to hear from our presenters. That afternoon we’re hosting our first digital history drop-in session.

  2. Friday I’m helping organize a dinner in honor of my advisor John Wunder, who passed this summer. I cannot wait to catch up with those of us who had the privilege of working and learning from him and share our memories.

  3. At 8:15am panel Saturday, I’ll be joining Justin Gage, Saara Kekki, Joel Zapata, and Jen Andrella to chat “New Directions in Digital Western History.” Looking forward to the conversation!
