Personal computers can trace their origin to Silicon Valley’s Homebrew Computer Club, a group of computer hobbyist and enthusiasts who in the mid-1970s hacked together their own personalized computing devices. The DigiBarn Computer Museum has a great collection scans and transcriptions of the Homebrew Newsletters between 1975 and 1977.
